Hey Guys,
Welcome to ‘Never Have I Ever’, a classic drinking game in which players ask each other about things they have not done, ever :) Who has done this thing, responds by taking a drink.
My statement for you this time is: Never Have I Ever laughed at a joke I didn’t understand.
Have you? Be honest :) Did you laugh just to avoid the awkward silence? Or because everyone else was laughing and you didn’t want to be the only one who didn’t get it? Maybe it was an inside joke, a foreign language thing, or just one of those moments where your brain needed a few extra seconds. Have you ever laughed first and only later realized what the joke was about? Or worse… realized it actually wasn’t funny at all? We’ve all been there.. sometimes it’s easier to laugh along than to admit you’re confused!

I laugh at every joke, out of politeness.
Of course, I do! My son will sometimes crack jokes and I have no idea what he's talking about. Now that I think about it, that is also true when he's not cracking jokes! :)

100% guilty of the polite laugh, the delayed realization, and the occasional why did everyone laugh at that?? moment.
to be honest, in my native language, no problem with this. But in other language, really have to think it over, so just smiled and pushing my brain 'what was this about'?

Oh yeah, I’ve definitely laughed at jokes I didn’t understand. I do this thing where I panic‑laugh way too loudly, and then immediately over‑explain my laugh like, ‘Haha… sorry, that was my… uh… laugh.’ And then I stare at the person for way too long, hoping they’ll move on, but they never do. One time I even said ‘Good joke’ in this weird monotone voice, like a malfunctioning robot trying to blend in. Honestly, I’m still recovering from it.
I recently laughed at a joke I didn't understand. But not out of awkwardness or such, but I was more laughing at the person making the joke. He had not quite gotten the joke made before him and tried to make a joke in return to it. It is safe to say this, for we all laughed at the situation once all had been explained
I think it's difficult to laugh spontaneously and match it with the right facial expression. Those who can do that might have a career in Hollywood. After being embarassed a number of times in my youth for trying, I turned to a simple smile or smirk.
I am a happy person so sometimes I laught when I have not to laught haha

In English? Nope. But have I pretended to understand a joke in Dutch when I was still learning? Yup! I had only been at my job for a few months and didn't want my coworker to think I was antisocial or whatever. ...It also wasn't a very funny joke...

i can tell, i sometimes laugh to a joke i don´t understand, just to give a good feeling to the person which is telling the joke
